Adwords is an advertising platforms created by Google. AdWords makes it possible for you to position your advertisement on the top of the search engine results page. It allows you to target internet users’ search queries and display your ads every time the user is looking for a similar product or service. The user will then click on your advertisement that will take them to your site or landing page. AdWords allows your business listing to be displayed alongside the natural search results when people search for specific keyword phrases on Google. AdWords search results are also known as Pay Per Click (PPC) results.

 

Differences between SEO and Adwords

 

SEO requires a lot more time for results to show than AdWords does, but on the end SEO can result in a high rank on Google’s search engine results page for an amount of key search terms. Although SEO takes more time and work, it is an organic listing so you don’t have to pay per click, like with AdWords. With SEO there is no assurance that your website will rank in the organic search results, but AdWords on the other hand, guarantees that your website will be displayed on the top of the search engine results page. One of the most important advantages of AdWords ads, is that they are displayed on top of the organic listings. SEO targets high traffic keywords and AdWords is a rapid method for generating leads and sales.

 

Why not both?
